"The Center for Survivors is honored to work with sexual assault survivors and all others who are impacted by sexual violence.

We provide free and confidential individual counseling, advocacy, and support groups to MSU students and the community.

MSU 24/7 Nurse

"The Student Health Services 24-hour phone information nurse is available to help make health-related decisions when:

  • A student isn’t sure whether symptoms require medical attention.

  • t’s late at night and a student doesn’t know whether to go to the ER, urgent care, or if the symptoms can be treated the next day in a doctor’s office."

MSU Mental Health Support Services

In the event of a mental health emergency when Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is closed, or you or another student/friend is in crisis and needs to talk with someone, CAPS has 24-hour crisis phone support.

Call CAPS at (517) 355-8270 and press “1” when prompted. You will be connected to a confidential, no-charge counselor contracted to work after hours to assist you with connecting to a variety of services on the MSU East Lansing Campus.

Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24-7. Call 988 or Text START to 741-741.
